China has unveiled a tax exempted agricultural importation from Least Developed African countries in a bid to reach 300 billion US dollars in total imports from Africa in the next three years.

China has also eight more cooperation programmes with Africa in the China-Africa Cooperation Vision 2035, said President Xi Jinping on 29 November 2021 in his keynote speech in the opening Ceremony of the Eighth Ministerial Conference of the  China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) held in Senegal.

The President said that his country will provide 10 billion US dollars of trade finance to support African export, and build a pioneering zone for in-depth China-Africa trade and economic cooperation in China and a China-Africa industrial park for Belt and Road cooperation.

China will undertake 10 connectivity projects for Africa and continuously supporting the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by forming an expert group on economic cooperation with a secretariat, he noted.

In addition, China will undertake 10 poverty reduction and agricultural projects for Africa, the president said, adding his nation will send 500 agricultural experts to Africa.

China also planned medical support to Africa including one billion doses of vaccines of which 600 million doses as donation and 400 million doses to be provided through joint production by Chinese companies and relevant African countries, he added.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations between China and African countries. Over these six and half decades, China and Africa have forged unbreakable fraternity, it was stated.
