Ethiopia says Home Coming challenge includes non-Africans

  


Initiated by country’s prime minister Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopia's “Great Home Coming Challenge” that intended to stabilize the war-hit economy with a huge influx of the diaspora community is not confined to Ethiopians abroad, according to Redwan Hussein, State Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He reportedly said that everyone with an African origin is  guest of the country.

Redwan added that Ethiopian diaspora is encouraged to bring at least one non- African.

 Indeed to reach out to a family is what we are known for he said pertaining Ethiopia's culture of hospitality.

By doing so, the country planned  to demonstrate its defiance to western pressure, and solidarity and pan Africanism to friends, he noted. 

The has been undertaking preparations to welcome the diaspora community that will respond to the Home Coming challenge.
