Ethiopia inaugurates tallest skyscraper in East Africa

 


Ethiopia has inaugurated a 209 meter high tower that became the tallest skyscraper in the region.

The tower constructed in Addis Ababa by the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and that has become the new headquarters of the bank inaugurated on Sunday in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, higher government officials, guest of honours and others.

The headquarters which constructed at a cost of $303.5 million has 53 floors and gives various banking services.

It also comprises museum, parking among others.

CBE's skyscraper is completed in two years and eleven months

The Bank is also celebrating its 80th year anniversary.
