Haile Hotels and Resorts Group expressed ambition to expand its services to other east African countries in the near future.

Haile Hotels and Resorts which is the leading hospitality chain developer and operator in Ethiopia has vowed to expand its services across the east African region.

The Group expressed the ambition on Thursday while inaugurating its 9th hotel that has been constructed in Wolaita Sodo town, Southwest Ethiopia at a cost of more than 1.1 billion Birr (around $19.4 million).

The hotel which has created 300 jobs for citizens is comprised of 107 rooms, 7 conference and 3 dining halls, the Group stated.

Shortage of hard currency has been highly affected the project, owner and CEO Haile Gebreselassie said during the inauguration event held on Thursday.

In spite of challenges, Haile Hotel and Resorts expressed that it is working to inaugurate additional hotels in Jimma, Debre Berhan and Wolkitie cities in the next 6 months.

The group also stressed on its aspiration to reach other east African nations with hospitality services it has been expanding in Ethiopia.

Haile Hotel and Resorts recently named as the first hotel in Addis Ababa by Trip Advisor.
