The Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said he has set to lead the national army in warfront in the battle against TPLF starting from Tuesday.
In a statement published on his official Facebook page on Monday, the prime minister expressed that his life is not worth over country’s existence.
“We all prefer to ensure the existence of our country by sacrificing our lives,” he wrote.
He said Ethiopians are always keen to protect their country which is known for inclusiveness, freedom, equality and justice.
In the statement, Abiy recalled that his administration has exerted relentless efforts over the past three years to ensure inclusiveness, reconciliation and synergy by conducting various political, economic reforms.
However, the internal and external enemies that always uncomfortable with Ethiopia's development and independence are working together than any other times to halt the country from achieving the aforestated progresses.
“It is the time that we have to operate the final battle so as to safeguard the nation. We have a historic burden to our forefathers to keep the iconic name of freedom, Ethiopia,” the PM stated.
However, this battle is not only Ethiopia's struggle since its objective is to suppress black people by weakening the country the perceive as icon of freedom. Abiy called on all black people to team up with Ethiopia in the struggle against neo-colonialism.
Moreover, the war has a decisive role among Ethiopians as the victory enable them to protect their motherland and dignity.
