Although the year-long war between the federal government and TPLF was affected the economy, Finance Minister Ahmed Shide said it didn’t cause macroeconomic imbalance.

He said on Thursday that the government has undertaken foreign exchange well despite some adverse impacts of the war on the economy.

Currently it is working on addressing emergency support and restoring public properties including infrastructures in the liberated areas, he added.

According to the minister, the next move of the government will be examining the damage and restoring the affected areas by spending budget. Ahmed also called on the people to join hands to this end.
