Minister of Health Lia Taddese (MD) has said preparations are underway to produce coronavirus vaccine at home.
She told local media that her ministry has been undertaken various preparations including market analysis to produce the vaccine.
The ministry is also consolidating cooperation with partners including CDC Africa and others to this end, she stated.
Producing the vaccine is crucial to reach millions as believed by the country and the continent too, Lia noted.
The African Union appreciates an integrated efforts to produce the vaccine at continental level, according to the minister.
South Africa is the first African nation to produce COVID 19 vaccine.
