United Nations Under Secretary General Amina Mehammed said she has witnessed the decrease of hostility between the warring groups in Ethiopia .

Amina who has visited the war affected areas of Tigray, Amhara and Afar regions said on Wednesday that there is comparative hope for peace.

Currently, the situation is smoothing and dialogues are being held between the parties involved in the war, she added.

She has discussed with leaders of  the parties and urged them  to cease conflict.

On Sunday, UN Secretary General commended the recent peace will and effort observed among these groups.

He also called on the parties to fully apply ceasefire.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and TPLF Leader Debretsion Gebremichael have disclosed that there is indirect talk between them.

The 15 month long war that broke out in Tigray and expanded to Amhara and Afar regions has took the life of thousands and displaced millions.
