Ethiopia would construct its 14th and biggest depot at a cost of $150 million in Dire Dawa city, Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Enterprise (EPSE) disclosed.

EPSE CEO Esmelalem Mihretu told Capital newspaper that all the preliminary works have been done to kick off the construction of the depot.

He says the depot project which lies on 16,000 square meters of land contains 300 million litres of fuel.

The depot mainly serves to distribute fuel that enters into the country through Djibouti, according to Esmelalem.  

The CEO also expressed that the Ethiopian investment holdings which monitors EPSE and AD Port have signed an agreement to construct the depot.
