Ethiopian Airlines (Ethiopian) said on Wednesday that its Cargo Service transported around 250 million stems of flowers out of Addis Ababa, Nairobi, and Bogota to the rest of the world.

The Ethiopian announced on its official Facebook page that it has delivered the flowers to various destinations in the past two weeks mainly pertained to Valentine’s Day.

Ethiopian Airlines Group’s Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services which has the largest cargo network in Africa covers over 135 international destinations with both belly-hold capacity and 68 dedicated freighter services, deploying more than 140 airplanes.

In the past couple of weeks, Ethiopian Cargo was busy transporting flowers for this year’s Valentine’s Day.

The Ethiopian says it’s Cargo and Logistics service operated more than 60 cargo flights to deliver the flowers weighing 4500 tons.

Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services is one of the major revenue-generating business units of the Ethiopian Airlines Group. Last year, the airlines carried 723,000 tons of freighters in the June-ended 2022/23 fiscal year, generating about $2 billion to its $6.1 billion total annual revenue.
